You’ve taken a meaningful first step in exploring therapy — and I’m glad you’ve found your way here.
My name is Chanchala Patra. I offer a reflective and grounded space for you to pause, reconnect, and grow. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating a life transition, or simply seeking deeper self-understanding, I’m here to walk alongside you with presence and care.
I work both online and in-person, from practices based in Clapham and Central London.
My approach is rooted in Mindfulness-Based Core Process Psychotherapy (MBCPP)—an integrative model that weaves together Western psychotherapeutic insights and Buddhist principles. Our work is shaped by awareness, curiosity, and deep respect for your pace and your story.
I offer a free initial consultation (up to 50 minutes), giving you time to explore whether this space feels right for you.
Grounded in present-moment awareness, we explore your experience together with gentle curiosity—allowing insight and change to naturally take place.
Guided by principles such as compassion, equanimity, and the understanding of impermanence—that change is always possible. This approach is inclusive of all beliefs and welcomes both spiritual and non-spiritual worldviews.
We look at how early relationships and unconscious patterns may be shaping your present experiences—inviting awareness and the possibility of new ways of relating.
The therapeutic relationship is central to my work. In safe connection, we can explore how you relate to yourself and others, and what unfolds in the here-and-now.
This is a space that affirms and celebrates difference. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, and have particular experience working around race, sexuality, gender, neurodiversity and intersectionality.
Therapy does not require crisis. You might simply feel stuck or want space to reflect. This is an invitation to pause and listen inward—to what needs care, attention, or change.
